EVA fashion art Daikanyama
“Womenswear only: 70s Celine, YSL Rive Gauche and couture Chanel next to 10,000-yen European silk.”
Seiko Miyazaki's womenswear boutique off Hachiman-dori, and the best case for Daikanyama's grown-up wardrobe. The top rail is 70s maison: Celine tailoring and silk shirts, YSL Rive Gauche, Chanel Boutique, Hermès coats and scarves, a little Biba. Every tag gives the decade and says antique, vintage or reconstructed.
Prices are fair for what it is. A deadstock 70s Celine jacket is 110,000 yen, the no-name French and Italian silk shirts and power-shoulder jackets sit around 10,000 to 16,000, and there are 1910s cotton slips under 20,000. The house remakes, like blouses cut from antique tablecloths, are one-offs. Closed Wednesdays; the web shop shows most of the stock.
