kindal Aoyama

kindal Aoyama

c. 1990 – 2026Clothing

“kindal's street-level Kotto-dori shop: Margiela, Jil Sander and Japanese designers at resale prices.”

A chain resale shop done small and tidy. kindal moved into this ground-floor space on Kotto-dori in February 2026, and the rack reads like Aoyama itself: Maison Margiela, Jil Sander, Prada, sacai, Comme des Garçons and Yohji Yamamoto, with Chanel, Hermès and Louis Vuitton in the cases. Mostly recent seasons, with a few archive pieces mixed in.

This is the place for minimal tailoring and good wool coats at secondhand prices, not for decades-old finds. Check linings and cuffs, because condition is graded but wear on the edges is real. Open 11am to 8pm daily, three minutes from Omotesando Exit B1. They buy too, if you want to trade in.

Brand collections

  1. 1990s

Bags and small leather goods in the cases; the leather grading is worth reading before you look at the price.

  2. 2000s
  3. Japanese designer stock that kindal is known for; dig the black rails for the main line and Homme pieces.

  4. Draped wool and gabardine pieces that age well; check the hems, which are often left raw on purpose.

  5. 2010s
  6. The core of the Aoyama rack: clean-cut coats and knits from the post-Martin seasons, at a fraction of retail.

  7. Quiet, perfectly cut tailoring and wool coats, the kind of construction that holds up second time around.

  8. Hybrid knits and layered jackets from recent seasons, usually in good condition.
