PATINAS VINTAGE CLOSET

PATINAS VINTAGE CLOSET

c. 1920 – 1980Clothing

“Pre-war to 70s American vintage, Bakelite jewellery and Chimayo, bought in the US, Ebisu-Daikanyama line.”

A small, packed room between Ebisu and Daikanyama, stocked from the owner's own buying trips in the US. This is the old stuff: 1920s to 70s clothing, antique tops and nightgowns, Chimayo weaving, Native American silver, and a serious case of Bakelite, celluloid and Lucite.

Prices are honest for the age. A 30s celluloid bow brooch sits around 13,000 yen with tax, 50s Levi's ranch pants around 30,000, 40s Bakelite bangles more. One Japanese reviewer says the rails are so full good pieces get buried, so go slow. Open 1 to 7 pm, closed only on buying trips; check the web shop first, it lists everything.
